Youth Alive

Youth Alive is a youth outreach and leadership development program that serves teenagers and young adults in the Marburg, Merlewood, Umkolombe and Boboyi communities.

Our purpose statement is:

“Transforming lives through loving and accepting all people, telling them about God and by demonstrating servant hood, creativity and passion.”

Weekly events:

Leadership meetings: Every Thursday from 4-5pm

Girls cell group: Every Wednesday from 4-6pm

Friday night youth event: Every Friday from 7-9:30pm

 

Music Academy

Our purpose statement:

To give young people the opportunity to learn an instrument, develop their talent, express themselves in a creative, music fashion, while learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Currently offered at the Academy:

  • Guitar training: Beginner and advanced
  • Voice training
  • Drum training
  • Band development

 

Genesis Gym

Our purpose statement:

“To provide a safe environment for people of the community to work out for a nominal fee, to learn about healthy lifestyles, to build friendships and to hear about God.”

The gym serves the greater Marburg, Merlewood, Boboyi and Mkolombe area with members of all ages. Gym members have entered and achieved well in local and national body building competitions over the past 6 years.

The Marburg gym is well equipped with Spinning Bikes, Free weights and Circuits training for men and ladies, as well trained coaches to assist with work out programmes on site.
