The MCC seeks to bring a new hope to the local community by offering programmes aimed at enriching their bodies, minds and spirits through relevant activities offered at the centre on a regular basis.

The latest addition to the Genesis Community Program is the Murchison Community Centre. Genesis has obtained a property in the community that include programmes for the community such as:

• A gym,
• Afternoon sports activities for school aged children
• Afterschool reading and homework room
• Community vegetable gardens,
• Music academy
• Skills/crafts development programme
• HIV and aids testing and counselling services through the VCT programme.

The Murchison Community Centre is one of the centre’s being established as a part of the vision of Genesis to more effectively take its programs into communities throughout the Ugu District.

Together with our partner’s, Project Imagine and Bill Starkey, the Genesis Murchison community centre is currently being developed to be a beacon of hope for our future generations.

The Genesis Trust has launched the Sponsor A Bed Programme to involve the community, public at large as well as companies and organisations to come alongside Genesis in its fight to alleviate the suffering of people infected/affected with HIV/AIDS - (mental, emotional, physical, social suffering)

The Norwegian Settlers' Church

An interdenominational Church in Port Shepstone on the KZN South Coast of South Africa. The Norwegian Settlers' Church started the Genesis Trust out of the apparent need in the community. For more information, please visit their website on www.nsc.za.org
