Decorative snowflake design with circular and pointed elements in brown and beige colors.

The accommodation was originally used as a HIV/AIDS step down palliative care facility for 15 years till 2022, when,  due to unforeseen circumstances, this ministry, in its then format, was suspended, and reformatted into a mobile service. We then repurposed this facility which is ideal to serve as accommodation for local and international visitors who are wanting to participate in community and mission work.

We wanted to create a South African Experience

“Ekhaya” fondly referred to in Zulu, one of our 11 South African languages , as “at home.” It forms part of Genesis Hope South Africa (Genesis Trust), which is situated in Port Shepstone, KZN, South Africa, which is a mere 130km South of the Holiday city, known as Durban.

Genesis is a mission’s arm of the Norwegian Settlers Church in Marburg.
